Edmund SEID, born on March 26th, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Aron Seid (white-collar employee, born on July 6th, 1878 in Podwoholczyska/Polen [Ukraine], died on August 14th, 1940 in Vienna) and his wife Rechla (nee Nacht, born on April 27th, 1883), lived in Wien 2, Floßgasse 10/12. After he had graduated from high school (Bundesgymnasium in Vienna 2nd district, Zirkusgasse 48) in 1935, he began to study at the Medical School of the University of Vienna. He was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on May 25th, 1938, fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 7th, 1938). After the "Anschluss he was forced to leave the university for racist reason.
His older brother
Friedrich Seid, who studied at the Medical School, too, was also expelled from the University of Vienna, but succeeded in finishing his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion'.
On September 2nd, 1938, his emigration to the United States was registered.
He had two daughters, Mackie Seid Kazdoy and Linda Seid Babin. Edmund Seid died in Dallas, Texas on September 8, 2014, 98 years old. His wife, Toby Ellison Seid, preceded him in death on January 9, 2013.
