Rosa SCHECHNER, born on August 11th, 1919 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Salomon Schechner (salesman), lived in Wien 2, Obere Donaustraße 51/18, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 1st year of her studies and took courses in Romance languages and literature Studies. Her elder brother
Jakob Schechner, who studied at the Medical School, was also expelled from the University of Vienna.
She was able to emigrate to Palestine/Israel in 1939. There she could study at an agricultural school and became an expert for vegetable growing. She got a university scholarship to become an agronomist. She joined the new Moshav Shadmot Devorah where her husband was a pioneer. Together they worked very hard to build a farm. Latter she studied and became a nurse in the village of Moshav until she retiered. She had two daughters and a son, eight grand children and two grand-grand children. She died on September 3rd, 2009 and was burried in Shadmot Devora/Israel where she used to live nearly 70 years.
