Marie BLITZ (married KORACH), born on August 4th, 1915 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), daughter of Dr. Otto Blitz (lawyer, deceased), lived in Vienna's 1st district, Dorotheergasse 6, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 4th year of her studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he she was forced to quit his her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on July 13th, 1938).
She was able to emigrate to Great Britain and became one of the founders of Camphill in Aberdeenshire, Scotland (together with Dr. Karl König, the Viennese photographer Alix Roth, two medical students, Peter Roth and Thomas Weihs, and a chemistry student, Alexander Baum, all three of them also expelled from Vienna University in 1938, the dancer Anke Weihs and the Viennese artist Carlo Pietzner).
She died on October 28th, 2002.
