Eugen TREISZER, born on May 22
nd, 1909 in Halmen/Halmeu, Hungary, Autro-Hungarian Empire [Satu-Mare/Romania] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Halmen, Satu-Mare/Romania, Citizenship: Romania), son of Fülop Treiszer (merchant), lived in Vienna's 17
th district, Ortliebgasse 40/2. He had graduated from secondary school on March 5th, 1934 in "Bundesrealgymnasium Wien 2" and started his studies at the University of Vienna in 1934/35. He was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 5
th and last year of his studies and took courses in Philosophy, History and Educational Science.
He registered for the final exams ('Rigorosen') on November 5
th, 1937 and passed the first exam successfully on November 27
th, 1937. After the 'Anschluss' he requested to continue his studies in the context of the 2% Numerus clausus of Jewish Students in the spring term 1938 which was approved first on May 27
th, 1938, but revoked on June 15
th, 1938, any further enrollment was forbidden as well. He had to quit his studies.
Only after the end of Nationalsocialism he succeeded in finishing his studies in Philosophy in 1947 in Vienna. His dissertation: 'Die Erkenntnisqualität.' (doctoral advisors: Dempf, Rohracher) was approbated on April 12
th, 1947 and after passing the second Rigorosum on April 19
th, 1947 he could finally graduate on May 20
th, 1947, 10 years belated, at the University of Vienna.
