Alfred GÖTZL (born on December 1
st, 1873 in Vienna, died on January 21
st, 1946 in San Francisco) was lecturer ('Dozent') for inner medicine at the Medical School of the University of Vienna and Head of the tuberculosis care of the city of Vienna.
He was persecuted in times of Nazism as a Jew lost his position and was thrown out of the university in 1938.
He was able to emigrate to San Francisco/USA with his wife Paula and his Children Johanna and Franz Rudolf in February 1939. His son
Franz Rudolf Götzl, who studied at the Medical School, was also expelled from the University of Vienna in 1938 for racist reason.
