Eugen (vulgo Hans) MONATH, born on November 22nd, 1915 in Eisenstadt/Burgenland (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Eisenstadt/Burgenland, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Samu (Samuel) Monath (born on June 15th, 1880 in Malacka [Malacky/Slowakei], lawyer in Eisenstadt) and his wife Hermine nee Adler (born on December 22nd, 1888 in Tachau [Tachov/Czech Republic]). His parents had married in 1910 and his older brother Josef (later José) Monath (1913-2003) was born in Vienna in 1913. Josef Monath was able to finish his law studies at the University of Vienna in 1937 and began to work in the office of his father just before the "Anschluss" 1938.
During his studies Eugen (Hans) Monath lived in Vienna 1st district, Neutorgasse 18. He was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of his studies. After the "Anschluss" Eugen (Hans) Monath emigrated to Sweden, his brother was able to emigrate to Buenos Aires/Argentinia together with his wife Gertrud, nee Lemberger (1914-1996). His parents did not survive the NS-regime: Hermine Monath already died in 1940, Samuel Monath was later deported to the Ghetto Zamość [Poland]. Hans Monath later lived in Mallorca/Spain. According to his brother (in 2001) - he worked there also as Austrian consul. 
He died in April 2002 in Palma de Mallorca.
