Ing. Fritz (Fred) LEDERER, born on January 12
th, 1910 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Ing. Gustav Lederer (merchant, chemist and industrialist) and his wife Erna nee Mendel (painter and artist, lived in Vienna's 19
th district, Lannerstrasse 12), lived in Vienna's 19
th district, Nedergasse 28. After he had studied chemistry (Ing.), he began to study at the Law School of the University of Vienna to become a patent attorney. He was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 in the 1
st year of his studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he she was forced to quit his her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
Fritz Lederer was able to emigrate to the USA and settled first in Illinois and then in New York. He continued his studies in law and became a patent attorney in the USA.
He was married to Marianne Alma Lederer (nee Neuberg, born on July 22
nd, 1911, died on May 4
th, 1987 in Los Angeles) in first marriage and to Gertrud Lederer (nee Salzer, born on June 24
th, 1917 in Vienna, died on June 6
th, 2008) in second marriage.
He died in New York City on August 1
st, 1971, leaving three daughters.
