Hermann KUPFERBERG, born on November 22nd, 1893 in Storozynetz, Galicia/Austro-Hungaria [Storoschynez|Сторожинець/Ukraine], (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, citizenship: Austria), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Alserbachstrasse 4/27, was enrolled finally in spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the last year of his studies. After the "Anschluss" he was discriminated as a Jew and allthough he passed the 3rd and last examination ("Rigorosum") on October 31st, 1938 successfully he was no more allowed to graduate in times of National-Socialism for racist reason. He could graduate only after the end of National-Socialism on June 8th, 1945, and the diploma was backdated to October 31st, 1944, tha day he fullfilled all requirements for graduation except affiliation to "aryan race" (in National-Socialist terms). He deceased on December 2nd 1959 in Vienna and is burried at the Jewish Cemetary in Vienna.
