Dr. jur. Kurt KREISLER, born on July 18th, 1908 in Vienna (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Hugo Kreisler (musician, deceased), lived in Wien 1, Schwarzenbergplatz 7, had graduated at the Law School at the University of Vienna on June 28th, 1937 with the academic degree 'Dr. iur.'. After enrolling again in the following fall term
he was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Law School in the 1st year of his studies. In times of Nazism he was deprived of his academic degree on February 28th, 1942 with the racist argument, that he as a Jew was not considered dignified an academic degree of a German university ('eines akademischen Grades einer deutschen Hochschule unwürdig').
It took 13 years since the deprivation - and a very long time since the end of Nazism - until the regranting of the doctorate took finally place on May 15th, 1955.
