Franziska KRAUHS, born on September 25th, 1913 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Edmund Krauhs (railway official), lived in Wien 2, Fugbachgasse, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 5th year of her studies and took courses in Chemistry.
She registered for the final exams ('Rigorosen') on January 12th, 1938, passed the first Rigorosum on March 11th, 1938, the eve of the 'Anschluss', and could even finish her dissertation 'Hydrolyse des Diazoessidesters in Gemischen aus leichtem und schwerem Wasser' (doctoral advisors: Kailan, Späth). She handed it in on June 27th, 1938 and the dissertation was approbated on July 4th, 1938, but then the examination procedure was interrupted and she was no more allowed to take the last exam. She could not graduate and had to quit her studies at the University of Vienna.
