Dora KOLLEK (married KORNBLIT), born on June 28th, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Dr. Emil Kollek (lawyer) and Elvira (neé Boehm), lived in Viennas 9th district, Tuerkenstrasse 3. She was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 2nd year of her studies and took courses in Pharmaceutics and Chemistry. She was forced to leave Vienna together with her family in 1938 but succeeded to emigrate to Palestine [Israel]. Dora Kollek married her fellow student Walter Kornblueth-Jungermann (later Kornblit) (1914-1966), but got divorced and lived in Israel were she passed away in 2004. Her cousin was Theodor "Teddy" Kollek (1911-2007), from 1965 till 1993 the longtime mayor of Jerusalem. Born in Nagyvázsony/Hungary in 1911 he grew up 1918-1934 in Vienna too (in 3., Landstraszer Hauptstrasze 147), but he and his familiy left Vienna already in 1935 to emigrate to Palestine, then British mandatory.
