Klara KOHN, born on May 31st, 1903 in Stanislau, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Stanisławów/Poland, today: Iwano-Frankiwsk|Івано-Франківськ/Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Moritz Kohn (civil servant), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Hebragasse 2, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 3rd year of her studies and took courses in Romance languages and literature Studies.

After the takeover of power of National-Socialism in 1938 she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason without a chance to graduate. She requested to continue her studies in the context of the 2% numerus clausus of Jewish Students, but was rejected and had to leave the University of Vienna.
