Franz BAUER, born on May 1<s>st</s>, 1914 in Wieselburg, Kom. Moson/Autro-Hungarian Empire [Mosonmagyaróvár/Hungary] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Eisenstadt in Burgenland/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Berthold Bauer (dentist), lived Vienna 1st district, Rotenturmstrasse 22. After his graduation from high school ('Akademisches Gymnasium') in Vienna in 1932, he began to study at the Medical School of the University of Vienna in fall term 1932/33.
Franz Bauer was enrolled finally in spring term 1937 in the 5th year of his studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on July 18th, 1938) and was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen') in 1938.

He could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.

The doctoral diploma was no more handed in to Franz Bauer himself but to his colleague Dr. Franz Mandel (born 1914), who got his doctoral degree only three months earlier (on February 4th, 1938) and who did not succeed to emigrate and who was murdered in Maly Trostinec on September 18th, 1942.
