Herbert Otto BANDLER, born on March 27th, 1917 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Carl Bandler (merchant), lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Kleine Stadtgutgasse 6-8/10. He graduated from high school ("Reifeprüfung"/"Matura" at "Bundesrealschule Wien 2") and started to study medicine in the fall term 1935/36 at the University of Vienna. In spring term 1938 he was in the 3rd year of his medical studies.
In times of National-Socialism he was discriminated as a so called "Mischling 1. Grades" but could continue his studies at first - valid until revoked.
