Alfred HERTZKA, born on September 3^rd, 1919 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Ernst Hertzka M.D. (dentist in Rotterdam/Netherlands) and Ella (Esther) Hertzka M.D. (née Haim, divorced Freud, physician), lived in Vienna 7^th district, Zieglergasse 61. In June 1937 he had graduated from the highschool (Bundesrealgymnasium in Vienna 8th district, Albertgasse) and enrolled in the following fall term 1937/38 at the Law School of the University of Vienna. He was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Law School in the 1^st year of his studies. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. His father, Ernst Hertzka M.D. (1892-1944, graduated as a dentist in 1917 at the University of Vienna), went to The Netherlands in 1937, but on April 5^th, 1944 he was deported from Westerbork/The Netherlands to the ghetto Theresienstadt in the Reich Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia [Terezin / Czech Republic], soon afterwards transferred to the concentration camp Auschwitz [Oświęcim, Poland] on May 18^th, 1944, where he died briefly on July 7^th, 1944. The same fate also suffers for his wife, Ella (Esther) Hertzka M.D. Alfred Hertzka also had to flee, but was able to emigrate to the United States, where he was able to enter New York on January 4^th, 1940. He then lived in Los Angeles at the latest from the 1950s. He died on May 13^th, 2017 in Laguna Hills, Orange, California, USA.
