Franz HAHN, born on March 30
th, 1913 in Nové Zámky (Neuhaeusl)/Hungary/Austro-Hungary [s. 1918 Czechoslovakia, s. 1993 Nové Zámky/Slovakia] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Julius (grain trader) and Bertha Hahn, lived in Vienna 2
nd district, Josefinengasse 6.
Franz Hahn was enrolled finally in spring term 1937 in the 5
th and last year of his medical studies at the Medical School of the University of Vienna ("Absolutorium" was certified on July 18
th, 1938). He was preparing for the final exams ("Rigorosen") in 1938.
He could finally finish his studies and graduated on July
21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion", which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
He was not able to emigrate and was deported to several concentration camps, but he survived.
He was married to Aloisia Maria Hahn (1924-2006) and they had a son, Georg Hahn MD, who became a physician, too.
Franz Hahn died on November 6
th, 2000 in Vienna.
