Walter Aufricht

Walter AUFRICHT, born on October 14th, 1912 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Armin Aufricht (1874-1941, retired bank official) und Hedwig Aufricht (née Haberfeld, 1885-1941), lived in Vienna's 17th district, Rosenackerstr. 74, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 6th and last year of his studies and took courses in Chemistry. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. Both his parents were deported from Vienna to Kaunas [Kovno, Lithuania] on November 23rd, 1941 and were killed there after arravial on November 29th, 1941.

Walter Aufricht could ecape to Palestine [Israel], was married to Liesa Aufricht and died in the 1980ies in Tel Aviv, Israel.
