Walter AUFRICHT, born on October 14
th, 1912 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Armin Aufricht (1874-1941, retired bank official) und Hedwig Aufricht (née Haberfeld, 1885-1941), lived in Vienna's 17
th district, Rosenackerstr. 74, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 6
th and last year of his studies and took courses in Chemistry.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
Both his parents were deported from Vienna to Kaunas [Kovno, Lithuania] on November 23
rd, 1941 and were killed there after arravial on November 29
th, 1941.
Walter Aufricht could ecape to Palestine [Israel], was married to Liesa Aufricht and died in the 1980ies in Tel Aviv, Israel.
