Emmerich GRÓSZ, born on November 30th, 1916 in Sárospatak, Hungary/Austro-Hungarian Empire [Hungary] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Nyíregyháza/Hungary, Citizenship 1938: Hungary), son of Zoltan Grósz (engineer), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Glasergasse 6/7, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 4th year of his studies. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on November 28th, 1938, spring term 1938 was validated on November 25th, 1938). He was deported to Auschwitz [Oswiecim/Poland] and died there.
