Kurt Stefan GOLDSCHMID, born on July 29th, 1914 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Arthur Goldschmid (1873-1942, merchant) and Elsa Goldschmid, née. Eisler (1884-1922), lived in Vienna's 7th district, Schottenfeldgasse 71/6, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Law School in the 3rd year of his studies (in the spring term 1938 he requested to continue his studies in the context of the Numerus clausus of Jewish Students, but was rejected).
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
He had to flee Austria and was able to leave in time.
His father was deported from Vienna to Izbica/Poland on June 5th, 1942 and did not survive.
Kurt Stefan Goldschmid lived as a merchant in Copenhagen|København/Denmark in the 1960s as an Indian citizen. He received Danish citizenship in 1968 together with his wife Vera Goldschmid, née Koslowsky, who came from Poland - they lived at that time in Bredevej 32, Virum, a suburb of Copenhagen in the municipality of Lyngby-Tårbæk. He last lived at Caroline Amalie Vej 130, 2800 Kgs. Lyngby.
Kurt Stefan Goldschmid died on September 9th, 2001 in Denmark.
