Alfred GOLDSTEIN, born on September 6th, 1911 in Berlin/German Empire [Germany] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Kolomea/Poland, Citizenship 1938: Poland), son of Samuel Goldstein and Szeindel Goldstein, née Olberg, lived in Vienna's 9th district, Porzellangasse 45, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4th year of his studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he she was forced to quit his her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on March 18th, 1938).
He was able to flee to France (his mother to Java, Dutch India) and lived in Nice (2 Ter Rue Spitalerie). He was arrested in Nice on August 20th, 1942 and taken to the French collection camp Drancy near Paris, from where he was deported to the German concentration camp Auschwitz [Oświęcim/Poland] on August 28th, 1942 (transport 25, train 901-20) where he was murdered.
