Helene GELB (later married GELB DE LIEBERMANN), born on December 9th, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Leon Gelb (pastry cook), lived in Viennas' 2nd district, Nickelgasse 1, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4th year of her studies (fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 19th, 1938). After the "Anschluss" she was forced to leave the university for racist/antisemitic reason and was no more allowed to enter the university. She had to flee from Vienna and Austria and succeeded to emigrate to the USA. In Vienna she married Dr. med. Viktor Liebermann (born June 6th, 1908) on July 31st, 1938 in the synagogue on the very last day that religous marriages have still been legal in NS-Germany. Lateron they lived in Mexico City since the early 1960ies and became Mexican citizens.
