rd, 1915 in Vienna as son of Dr. jur. Desider (Dezsö) Fehér (1874 Budapest-1943 Ghetto Theresienstadt [Terezin/Poland]) and Mathilde Feher (1889 Nagy Surany/Hungary-1944 KZ Auschwitz [Oswiezim/Poland]). His father had graduated form the Law School of the University in Vienna on July 21 , 1904 and was enreolled in the List of Laywers in Vienna since 1910 (practice: Vienna 1
st district, Landesgerichtsstrasse 20), before he was forced to quit his office in 1938 for racist reason. He was deported to the Ghetto Theresienstadt in 1942 where he died the following year.
Ernst Fehér was already preparing for his final examinations ("Rigorosen") in 1938 and was no more enrolled at the Law School. He could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21
st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
