Dr. jur. Leopold EHRLICH, born on January 14
th, 1880 in Budapest/Hungary (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Julius Ehrlich (merchant, deceased), lived in Vienna's 1
st district, Seilergasse 16, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 4
th year of his studies and took courses in Philosophy.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
He worked as a lawyer in Vienna's 1st district, Seilergasse 16, since 1911, was the trusted lawyer ("Vertrauensanwalt") of the company Julius Meinl A.G. and was deleted from the list of lawyers in 1938 for racist reason due to the Reich Citizenship Act. He had to flee from Vienna and was able to emigrate to France in 1939 where he lived in Nice.
In 1952 he returned to Austria and lived in Villach, Carinthia.
