Magdalene ADLER (later: ADAMS, married FINN), born on September 13th, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna, citizenship: Austria), daughter of Theodor Adler (lumber trade), lived in Vienna's 13th district, Bernbrunngasse 37 (today: 13., Muenichreiterstrasze 37), was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 3rd year of her studies and took courses in Chemistry. A Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on August 19th, 1938.
She was forced to emigrate in 1938 and abandoned her studies. Her parents were Jews who had converted to Christianity when she was a child. (also her cousin
Edith Forschner was forced to leave the University of Vienna). When Magdalene ADLER came to America, the family changed their last name to Adams, later she married and became Magdalena FINN. She had two children, her son Douglas and her daughter Cynthia.
Magdalene Finn died in 1997 in the USA.
