Ilse ZWIEBEL, born on February 8th, 1919 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Krakow/Poland, Citizenship: Poland), daughter of Jakob Zwiebel (civil servant in Krakow) has graduated from junior high school for girls Emilie Plater in Sanok/Poland [Gimnazjum Żeńskiego im. Emilii Plater/II Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie] in 1937. She lived in Vienna's 19th district, Hardtgasse 8, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 1st year of her studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on July 18th, 1938). In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. As a Polish citizen she coulld leave Vienna in time and also survived Nazi persecution. After the end of the war she moved to Poland with her husband, David Shefer, and resumed and graduated from the University of Wroclaw. In 1957 she emigrated to Israel and lived and worked as a pediatrician in Tiberias. She died in October 2003.
