Robert Klaus WALLER, born on September 22
nd, 1914 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Max Waller (consul, 1886-1969) and Lilli Waller, née Bondy (1893-1977), lived in Vienna's 19
th district, Wuerthgasse 10, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 4
th year of his studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on July 18
th, 1938).
He had to flee from Vienna and was able to emigrate via England on February 25
th, 1939, from Southampton to the U.S. where he arrived in New York City, NY, on March 9
th, 1939, and lived for the first few years with his parents, who had also emigrated in 1939, and his brother Hans [Howard] Heinrich (1922-1970) at 255 West End Ave. in New York City, NY, and worked at Flushings Hospital in NY. On April 2
nd, 1941, he married Marion Van Nostrand (1919-1983) in New York City, NY, and in 1943 he became a US citizen (Robert C. Waller).
He died on January 9
th, 2006 in MT Vernon, Ohio/USA.
