Edgar Paul BOJKO (later BOYKO), born on October 19th, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Max Bojko (dentist), lived in Vienna 2nd district, Hollandstrasse 1/3, was enrolled finally in fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 2nd year of his studies and took courses in Chemistry (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on May 18th, 1938).
After the "Anschluss" Boyko initially emigrated to Scotland in 1938, where he completed his studies in chemistry at St. Andrews University and married his school time girlfriend Blanka Kohn.
In 1939 the couple emigrated to the USA, where Boyko worked in different jobs, until he obtained a law degree at the University of Maryland in 1945.
In 1952 he moved to Alaska, in order to work as an attorney of the Bureau of Land Management. In 1953 he opened up a private practice and worked as an attorney in Alaska as well as in California.
During the frist administration of Governor Walter J. Hickel from 1967 to 1968 Boyko was Attorney General of Alaska. Then we went back to private practice.
Boyko - a democrat - authored a newspaper column and hosted a radio talk show, both with the title 'The Roar of the Snow Tiger' and with political comments and views.
Edgar Paul Boyko moved to Seattle area in 1999 and died in a Des Moines, Washington hospital, on January 1st, 2002.
