Kurt UNGER, born on November 9th, 1913 in Frankfurt a. d. Oder/Germany (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Frauenkirchen/Burgenland, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Siegmund Unger (private teacher in Brno), lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Große Pfarrgasse 3, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 1st year of his studies and took courses in Psychology and English language and literature Studies.

In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.

Kurt Unger was deported from Brno to Theresienstadt [Terezín/Czech Republic] on December 2nd, 1941 and from there to Auschwitz [Oswiecim/Poland] on September 29th, 1944.
