Ester Berta STEINKLEIN, born on May 16th, 1913 in Zborów, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later Poland, today: Sboriw|Зборів/Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), daughter of Bernard Steinklein (merchant), lived in Vienna's 20th district, Leystrasse 23/II/4, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3rd year of her studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit hs her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (leaving certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on September 24th, 1939).
She was deported from Vienna's 2nd district, Novaragasse 40 to Riga on January 26th, 1942.
