Friedrich STAUDNER, born on May 9th, 1914 in Vienna (entitled to reside in Vienna, citizenship in 1938: Austria), son of Leopold J. Staudner (1883-1944, bank clerk) and Josefine Staudner, née Mayer (1888-?), lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Schüttelstrasse 21a, was last enrolled in the 5th and final year of study at the Medical School in the spring term of 1938.
He was a Protestant AB, but was persecuted after the Anschluss in 1938 for racist reasons as a so-called "Mischling 1. Grades", but was able to continue his studies for the time being - subject to revocation at any time (Absolutorium issued on February 8th, 1939)
He had already been working for several semesters (since October 1st, 1936) as a demonstrator ex propriis at the I. Anatomische Lehrkanzel (Prof. Gustav Sauser) and was still able to complete his studies on February 10th, 1939 and was awarded the title of "Dr. med. univ.". doctorate. However, the doctoral diploma was provided only with a "blocking clause", which stated that he was not entitled to practice medicine in the German Reich.
He later practiced in Vienna's 6th district, Theobaldgasse 13 and was married to Friederika Staudner (1926-2003)
Dr. Friedrich Staudner died in Vienna in April 1977 and is buried at Vienna Central Cemetery.
