Franz Leopold SCHICK, born on February 4^th, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Egon Schick (physician) and Anne (nee Lapper, born 1887), lived in Vienna's 9^th district, Dollfussplatz [Rooseveltplatz] 13. He graduated from highschool (Realgymnasium Vienna's 17^th district, Kalvarienberggasse) in 1936 and was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 1^st year of his studies and took courses in Chemistry and Physics. His father committed suicide in June 1938 in Vienna facing the future after the "Anschluss", Franz Leopold Schick, his wife and fellow student Renée Schick (nee Silberfeld) and his mother could emigrate to the USA.
