Johann SCHARF, born on July 15th, 1916 in Warmbrunn/Lower Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Oberhautzental/Lower Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Johann Scharf (teacher), lived in Wien 18, Michaelerstraße 2, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 3rd year of his studies and took courses in Romance languages and literature Studies and Classical Philology. He was discriminated as a so called 'Mischling 1. Grades' but could continue his studies at first - valid until revoked - and finish with his dissertation: 'Die Gelegenheits- und didaktischen Verdichtungen Voltaires.' He graduated on May 26th, 1941.
