Dr. med. Erika ROSEN, born on June 1st, 1898 in Widdin [Vidin]/Bulgaria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Philipp Rosen (pharmacist), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Schlickgasse 4/44, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 4th year of her studies and took courses in Pharmaceutics and Chemistry. In the spring term 1938 she could continue her studies in the context of the 2%-Numerus clausus of Jewish Students until the end of the term and succeeded in finishing her studies on October 31st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtariersponsion" which included at the same time that she was banned from her profession. Together with her sister Mag. pharm. Wanda Rosen she was deported from Wien 9, Seegasse 7/16 to Maly Trostinec/Belarus on September 14th, 1942 and died there only 4 days later on September 18th, 1942.
