Dr. med. Erika ROSEN, born on June 1
st, 1898 in Widdin [Vidin]/Bulgaria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Philipp Rosen (pharmacist), lived in Vienna's 9
th district, Schlickgasse 4/44, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 4
th year of her studies and took courses in Pharmaceutics and Chemistry.
In the spring term 1938 she could continue her studies in the context of the 2%-Numerus clausus of Jewish Students until the end of the term and succeeded in finishing her studies on October 31
st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtariersponsion" which included at the same time that she was banned from her profession.
Together with her sister Mag. pharm. Wanda Rosen she was deported from Wien 9, Seegasse 7/16 to Maly Trostinec/Belarus on September 14
th, 1942 and died there only 4 days later on September 18
th, 1942.
