Philipp RIEGER, born on January 3rd, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Jakob Rieger (engineer), lived in Vienna's 5th district, Embelgasse 41, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Law School in the 4th and last year of his studies. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. He had to flee Vienna and could emigrate to Great Britain in 1939. He returned to Austria in 1957. He was married to Margarethe Rieger (1917-2016). >>> more detailled biography only in German (to be translated soon) Dr.rer.pol. Philipp RIEGER died aged 91 on September 20th, 2007 in Vienna and is burried at the cemetery in Vienna-Neustift.
