Maximilian RHODEN, born on August 24
th, 1918 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Edgar Rhoden (b. 1866, physician) and Dr. Malvine Rhoden (1885-1977, physician), lived in Vienna's 21
st district, Stryeckgasse 18, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 1
st year of his studies (spring term 1938 was validated on October 17
th, 1938).
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna – even the spring term 1938 was nullified on October 17
th, 1938, due to "poor attendance").
He had to flee Vienna and succeeded to emigrate to the USA where he arrived on August 6
th, 1938 in New York, NY/USA. From 1943-1945 he served in the US-Army, later married Dorothy Branch (1910-2005) und in 1952 their daughter Nancy Katherine Rhoden (1952-1989) was born in in Pennsilvania.
He died on May 21
st, 1993 in Huntsville, Madison, Alabama/USA.
