Fritz REINERT, born on February 2nd, 1912 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Samuel Reinert (railway official, 1876–1927) and Szewa/Charlotte Reinert (née Erdheim, 1884–?, master tailor), had passed the school-leaving examination (Matura) at the grammar school in Moedling/Lower Austria on October 24th, 1932 and subsequently began to study medicine at the University of Vienna. He lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Taborstrasse 51/I/9, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4th year of his studies (fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 18th, 1938).
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna - Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on May 10th, 1938.
He had to flee Vienna and still managed to emigrate to Switzerland. There he was able to continue his studies at the University of Basel and also to obtain a doctorate on September 14th, 1939.
He returned to Austria after the end of National Socialism and worked from 1946 as a hospital doctor at the Krankenanstalt Rudolfstiftung in Vienna's 3rd district. The Swiss doctorate had been nostrified by the University of Vienna on July 16th, 1951 and from June 1967 he had a practice as a general practitioner in Vienna's 20th district, Jägerstraße 91/11/21.
He had been married to Käte Feldner (née Klüß) since 1962, maintained a Sunday morning meeting at the Cafe Hawelka in Vienna for many years and continued to work as an emergency doctor for many years after his retirement at the end of 1977.
He died on December 28th, 1995 in Vienna and is buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery.
