Erika REISS, born on September 15th, 1913 in Lemberg/Poland [Lwiw/Ukraine], (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, citizenship: Austria) and lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Paffrathgasse 3/6. She was the daughter of Dr. Adolf Reiss (merchant, lawyer, living in Vienna's 7th district, Neustiftgasse 139, later in Kaiserstrasse 67). She graduated in 1932 from high school ("Bundesgymnasium Wien III") and enrolled at the Philosophical School of the University of Vienna in from fall term 1932/33 till spring term 1937 and took courses in pharmaceutics  (Absolutorium was issued on December 10th, 1937). In 1938 she wasn't enrolled at the Philosophical School any more, but was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen'). She could finally finish her studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtariersponsion', which included at the same time that she was banned from her profession.
