Karol Wilhelm BIELER, born on May 30th, 1911 in Tarnopol, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Poland, today: Ternopil|Тернопіль/Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Tarnopol/Poland, citizenship 1938: Poland), son of Isaak Bieler (1876-?, merchant) and Ruchel Bieler, née Köstenblatt/Goldbrum (1874-?), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Servitengasse 14/9, was enrolled finally in the spring term of 1938 at the Medical School in the 4th year of his studies (spring term 1938 was validated on October 5th, 1938).

In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ["Abgangszeugnis"] was issued on December 13th, 1938.

He married on July 25th, 1938 Polish cosmetician Sonja/Sara/Sala Schmarak (1913 in Tarnopol-?) in Vienna, left Vienna for Poland on September 7th, 1938 and could work there possibly as a doctor in a hospital. Later he and his wife and their newborn child (b. February 24th, 1940) were deported to concentration camp Bergen-Belsen and were murdered in the Shoah.
