Viktor RANNICHER, born on January 15th, 1916 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Dr. jur. Viktor Rannicher (1885-1946, lawyer, musicologist, advertising expert and member of the management board of entomological society, as a senior official "Ministerialrat" in the ministry of social welfare he retired in 1926) and of Klara Rannicher, née Teller (1886-1967), lived in Vienna's 19th district, Sieveringer Strasse 19/II and was enrolled finally in fall term 1938/39 at the Medical School in the 5th and last year of his studies.
He was roman-catholic, but was discriminated as a so called "Mischling 1. Grades" but could continue his studies at first - valid until revoked - and succeeded in finishing them and graduated on January 26th, 1940, but was banned from his profession at the same time for racist reason.
Viktor Rannicher could practice as a physician only after the and of National-Socialist regime and became a general practicioner in May 1945 with his own practice in Vienna's 19th district, Sieveringerstrasse 147, later Boernergasse 3/7/6.
He was married to Gertrude Maria Rannicher (1930-2009) and their son Viktor (b. 1955) became a physician, too.
Dr. Viktor Rannicher died on July 19th, 1985 in Vienna and is burried at cemetery Vienna-Poetzleinsdorf.
