Simon RAAB, born on July 4th, 1890 in Sadowa Wisznia, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian empire [from 1918: Sądowa Wisznia/Poland, today: Sudowa Wyschnja|Судова Вишня/Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Leo Raab (merchant in Sadowa Wisznia), lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Heinestrasse 11/8 and wasn't enrolled at the Law School any more in 1938, but was preparing for the final exams ("Rigorosen").

In 1938 he was forced to quit his studies and the examination procedure and to leave the University of Vienna for racist reason after the takeover of power of National-Socialism. But after numerous incertainties he could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion", which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession.
