Wolfgang POLLAK, born on November 28th, 1915 in Mürzzuschlag/Styria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Adolf Pollak (engineer, deceased), lived in Wien 8, Hamerlingplatz 7/3, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1938/39 at the Philosophical School in the 4th year of his studies and took courses in German language and literature Studies and got a monthly grant from the municipality of Vienna.
He was discriminated as a so called 'Mischling 1st grade' but could continue his studies at first - valid until revoked - and could even finish his studies with a dissertation: 'Der Nachsatz im Nibelungenlied.' (doctoral advisors: Kralik, Nadler). He graduated on March 16th, 1942.
