Jacques PALACCI, born on February 14th, 1915 in Istanbul/Turkey, (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Turkey, citizenship 1938: Turkey), son of Mechim Palacci (merchant in Istanbul), lived in Vienna's 9th district, Strudlhofgasse 13/9. He has started to stdy medicina at the University of Vienna in the fall term of 1926/37 (exept for spring term 1937) and was enrolled finally in the spring term of 1938 at the Medical School in the 1st year of his studies (spring term 1938 was validated on October 17th, 1938).
Allthough Turkish citizen and therfor not subject to the NS-race-laws he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason after the takeover of power of National-Socialism and to leave the University of Vienna.
It took until September 17th, 1957 [sic!], that a Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued.
