Hans ABELES, born on October 21st, 1912 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), was the son of Julius Abeles (white-collar worker) and lived in Vienna 1st district, Zedlitzgasse 11.
After he had graduated from high school ('Realgymnasium') in Vienna 2nd district, he began to study medicine at the medical school of the University of Vienna in fall term 1932/33.  Hans Abeles was enrolled finally in spring term 1937 in the 5th year of his studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on July 18th, 1938) and was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen') in 1938. He could finally finish his studies and graduated on July 21st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that he was banned from his profession. Hans Abeles died on September 6th, 2003 at the age of 90 years in Rye, Westchester County, New York in the USA.
