Wilhelm GORGIAS (later: Willi DAVIS), born on July 23^rd, 1915 in Gyoer/Hungary (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Dr. Leopold Gorgias (dental technician), lived in Vienna's 9^th district, Bindergasse 8/14, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 3^rd year of his studies (fall term 1937/38 was devalidated on February 2^nd, 1938 due to a lack of attandance ("mangels der Frequenzbestätigung"); Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on July 18^th, 1938, ). His elder sister Leonore Gorgias, who studied at the Philosophical School, was also expelled from the University of Vienna. Wilhelm Gorgias escaped to England and then got on a ship to Madagascar. He eventually ended up in Southern Rhodesia [Zimbabwe]. He changed his name to Willi Davis and owned a camera and liquor store in Shabani/Southern Rhodesia [Zvishavane/Zimbabwe] which was on a Safari route.
He married Maizie and never had children. He died in 1988 at the age of 73.
