Stella Bianca FEUERSTEIN (married: ARDITTI), born on June 12th, 1914 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Marcus Feuerstein (white-collar employee, Tirana/Albanien) and Feigel Treindel Feuerstein, née Wetzler, lived in 2nd district, Hofenedergasse 3/12a, from 1937 on in same district in Praterstrasse 51/7. She got her diploma from secondary school on July 7th, 1932 at the Maedchenrealgymnasium in Vienna 2nd district (Hollandstrasse 4) and started her studies in the fall term of 1932/33 at the Philosophical School, and after a foreign term at the Philosophical School of Sorbonne in Paris/France, she finally enrolled in the fall term of 1937/38 in the 4th and last year of her studies and took courses in History and Romance languages and literature Studies. She already registered for the viva voce (final examination/"Rigorosum") already on October 11th, 1937, passed the first viva ("Philosophicum") on October 23rd, 1937 (examiners: Richard Meister and Karl Buehler). Her application for credit for the Paris guest semester was rejected in October 1937, so the Absolutorium could not be issued until May 30th, 1938 - at the same time, however, the examination procedure was interrupted. She was no longer able to complete her studies. She had to flee from Vienna and in August 1938 she was able to emigrate to Albania, where her father, Marcus Feuerstein, was already working at that time. As there existed no Albanian university before 1951/1957 she could not finish her studies. For few years she worked as a history and geography teacher in a high school. Lateron it became unacceptable that a foreigner teaches in an Albanian high school and so she worked as foreign language teacher privately (German, French, English, Italian). She married Moisi Arditti and they had three children: Silvia Battino (née Arditti), Elena Kona (née Arditti) and George Arditti. After 1948/49 nobody could get out from Albania due to communist dictatorship regime.
After the new democratic era in Albania, in 1991 all the Jewish community that remained in Albania left for Israel. Stella Bianca Arditti, née Feuerstein, passed away on January 24th, 1993 in Karmi'el/Israel.
