Sara PAUKER (false: SCHERL, married ABRAMSKY), born on March 23rd, 1915 in Dolina, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Dolyna/Poland, today: Dolyna|Долина/Ukraine] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Wiznitz [Vișnița]/Romania [Wyschnyzja|Вижниця/Ukraine], Citizenship: Romania), daughter of David Pauker (Scherl, salesman, b. July 16th, 1880) and Lea Pauker (b. July 15th, 1885), lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Glockengasse 14/11. She graduated from high school - Chajesgymnasium in Vienna's 2nd distric - in 1934 ("Reifeprüfung/Matura") and started to study History and English language and literature Studies in spring term 1936 at the University of Vienna. She was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School in the 2nd year of her studies and took courses in History and English language and literature Studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on August 30th, 1938). In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna. She had to flee Vienna and was able to emigrate to Great Britain with her parents in time and lived with them at 72 Hamilton Rd., Hendon, Middlesex, England in 1939. In July 1945, she married Rabbi Moicei Abramsky (1912-1975) in Hockney, London. They lived in Tottenham/England in the early 1950s, then in Barnet, Hendon/England in the mid-1960s, and most recently she lived at 26 Highfield Ave, London N.W. 11. Sara Abramsky, née Pauker, died February 15th, 1995, in Camden, Greater London, England.
