Salomon REISS, born on January 28^th, 1915 in Lemberg, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire, later Poland [today Lwiw/Ukraine] (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Salomon Reiss, lived in Vienna's 2^nd district, Untere Augartenstrasse 36/Leopoldsgasse 1, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 4^th year of his studies (Leaving Certificate ('Abgangszeugnis') was issued on June 3^rd, 1938). In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna and also his sister Anna Reiss was forced to quit university in the 2^nd year of her medical studies.
