Leopold WEINBERGER, born on August 11
th, 1877 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Jacob Weinberger (merchant, deceased), himself also a merchant lived in Vienna's 1
st district, Weihburggasse 5, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 7
th year of his studies and took courses in History and Art History.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies - at the age of 61 - for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
He was no more able to flee Vienna and was deported from Vienna to Theresienstadt [Terezín/Czech Republic] on October 1st, 1942 and died there in the smae month on October 19th, 1942.
