Josef WENINGER (born on March 15th, 1886 in Salzburg, died on March 28th, 1959 in Vienna) was Pd. (o. Prof.) for Anthropologie at the Philosophical School of the University of Vienna.
He was persecuted in times of Nazism as a Jew lost his position and was thrown out of the university in 1938. He returned to Austria on April 24th, 1945.
