Hildegund Maria Antonia ZECHNER (married: KOTHBAUER, 1939), born on July 15th, 1917 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Dr. Leopold Zechner (director of a public school), lived in Wien 13, Hadikgasse 102, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1938/39 at the Philosophical School in the 4th year of her studies and took courses in English and German language and literature Studies. She was discriminated as a so called 'Mischling 2. Grades' but could continue her studies at first – valid until revoked – and finished them on December 20th, 1939 with her dissertation: 'Untersuchungen über die Weltanschauung Edward Montagu Compton Mackenzies auf Grund seiner epischen Werke.' (doctoral advisors: Wild, Havers).
Her younger sister
Ingrid Leodolter, nee Zechner (1919-1986) was able to complete her studies in times of nacism and was graduated 'Dr.med.' on November 2nd, 1943.
Hilde Kothbauer was married to Dipl. Ing. Alexander Kothbauer (1910-1970), they had three children: Elisabeth, married Spaengler, Christine, married Kolassa, and Max.
She died on June 6th, 2012 in Vienna and was buried at Hietzing cemetery (group 45, no. 32).
